CAN FD (Controller Area Network Flexible Data-rate) is a newer communication protocol used in 2019+ GM and Chrysler vehicles. It enables 6× faster communication speed and more precise diagnostics compared to standard CAN. If your vehicle is a 2019 or newer GM/Chrysler model, the S608 fully supports it.

Do I need to buy anything extra for FCA or Renault SGW access?

Yes. To access 2017+ FCA vehicles or 2015+ Renault vehicles through their Security Gateway (SGW), you will need to purchase an AutoAuth account (for FCA) or a Renault physical token separately. The S608 hardware supports the bypass, but the account/token is not included.

The device lists my vehicle as compatible but won't connect. What should I do?
