Common Questions
Coverage, shipping, returns, and remote help — then email us if you still need a hand.
On the label on the back or bottom, the box, or About / Device info. Photograph the label and keep your order number — we need both for setup, updates, and warranty.
Use the manual for that exact model. Bluetooth tools need the companion app plus Bluetooth, Location, and Local Network permissions; keep the ignition on and the dongle seated. Tablets usually finish setup on the device. Don’t follow another model’s steps. Stuck after the manual? Email support@ediagtool.com with the model, a screenshot, and what you already tried.
Wi-Fi tablets update on the device; Bluetooth tools update in the app. Stay on stable Wi-Fi and don’t power off mid-install. Only install files for your model. If an update fails or you need a download link, send us the model and serial number.
Yes. Use Help Me Choose, or email year / make / model / engine plus the jobs you need (codes only, all systems, bidirectional, coding). We’ll point to a fit on this site — we won’t oversell a function the coverage list doesn’t show.
Check Vehicle Coverage (or the product coverage checker) for make and job. Results can still vary by year, trim, region, and software. For an advanced function, contact us with VIN + the exact job before you order.
No. Check-engine / live data ≠ all-system, bidirectional, resets, TPMS, or coding. Those are vehicle- and software-specific. If the job is the reason you’re buying, confirm it with us first.
Terms vary by product. See the product page for the included period and any renewal. Don’t assume lifetime updates across every brand we sell. Ask us to confirm the terms on the model you’re considering.
Coverage is a guide, not a guarantee for every trim. Email order number, model, serial, VIN, the function, and a screenshot or video. We’ll troubleshoot (connection, ignition, software version) and tell you if it’s a vehicle limit, a setup issue, or a warranty case. A missing function is not automatically a hardware defect.
Use Track Your Order with the number from your shipping email. New tracking can take a while to show the first scan. Separate packages can have separate tracking. No movement or a delivery exception: email us the order and tracking numbers.
Local inventory: usually 2–7 business days. Other warehouse: 7–30 business days or longer (customs, weather, holidays). These are estimates. Free shipping applies when checkout shows it; remote addresses may add a charge.
Email the order number as soon as you can. We can cancel or change only before dispatch, and full-refund cancels are for undispatched orders within 24 hours of purchase. After it ships, use the return process.
Stop using it. Email photos of the box, packing, and the issue plus the order number. Don’t repair it yourself. We’ll confirm replacement, parts, or return.
Contact us before sending anything. Include order number, model, serial, what went wrong, and photos/video. Complete any remote steps we ask for. Wait for authorization and the return address. Unauthorized returns may be refused.
Not automatically. Coverage depends on vehicle and function. Check coverage before purchase; if an advanced job is essential, ask us first. We’ll still help diagnose whether it’s compatibility, setup, or hardware.
Order number, model, serial, year/make/model/engine, the function, and screenshots or a short video of the error. For Bluetooth: app name/version and phone OS. Complete details mean fewer back-and-forths.
Yes. Most cases start with remote steps (connection, permissions, update, a screenshot). If that doesn’t resolve a hardware fault, we authorize repair, replacement, or return. That’s the point of buying from us rather than a listing with no after-sales path.
30-day returns are for unused, complete tools. Warranty is 1 year for manufacturing defects. After that, still email us — we can often still advise on setup or paid options. Buyer-caused damage, missing parts, and unauthorized teardown aren’t covered.
