What does KINGBOLEN BM310 test?

BM310 is a 12V battery load / alternator analyzer. It checks battery charge level, starting capability, alternator (dynamo) charging performance, and can show overload / over-high alternator voltage via LED indicators.

Which vehicles and batteries are supported?

It works with 12V vehicles such as cars (including hybrids), SUVs, motorcycles, and light trucks. Supported battery types include AGM, Flooded, Gel, Lead-Acid, and VRLA. It does NOT support 24V trucks.

How do I read the 6 LED indicators?

LEDs show battery/charging status by voltage ranges — from dead battery (all LEDs off) through low/middle/full/good charge, up to fault/over-voltage warning. For alternator check, when the green light is lit, accelerate the engine to about 2000 RPM; if the green light remains on, the charging circuit is OK.

Do I need an external power supply or special tools?

No. Clamp the positive and negative clips onto the battery terminals to read status. The unit is designed for quick garage, pre-trip, and DIY checks without complex setup.
