U0133 — Lost Communication with Yaw Rate Sensor Module

The ESP / ABS controller has lost messages from the yaw-rate sensor module. ESP is deactivated, ABS may stay active. Often caused by a damaged ribbon cable in steering column or a failed sensor cluster after airbag jobs.

General code reference. Confirm the definition and diagnostic procedure for your vehicle's year, model and engine. A stored code alone does not identify a failed part.

  • Esp module
  • Can bus wiring
