P032F — Combustion Engine Producing Insufficient Torque
The engine torque measured (or modelled from intake/exhaust signals) is below the calibrated set point for the commanded throttle position. Causes range from low compression, intake leak, fuel pressure issue, ignition fault, to high mechanical drag.
General code reference. Confirm the definition and diagnostic procedure for your vehicle's year, model and engine. A stored code alone does not identify a failed part.
Affected components
- Powertrain control module
- Fuel injector
- Ignition coil
Possible causes to check
These are possible checks, not a ranked diagnosis. Follow the vehicle manufacturer's test procedure before replacing parts.
- Low compression on one or more cylinders
- Fuel pressure low
- Intake leak
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- This code can affect emissions
- Reduced-power or limp mode may occur
