P0105 — Manifold Absolute Pressure / Barometric Pressure Circuit Malfunction
The ECU detects a general electrical malfunction in the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) or barometric pressure sensor circuit. Signal missing, implausible, or wiring broken. Generic fault when no more specific MAP code applies.
General code reference. Confirm the definition and diagnostic procedure for your vehicle's year, model and engine. A stored code alone does not identify a failed part.
Affected components
- Map sensor
- Barometric pressure sensor
- Map wiring
- Vacuum hose
Possible causes to check
These are possible checks, not a ranked diagnosis. Follow the vehicle manufacturer's test procedure before replacing parts.
- MAP sensor failed
- Vacuum hose to MAP sensor cracked or disconnected
- MAP wiring or connector fault
Diagnostic notes
- The malfunction indicator lamp may illuminate
- This code can affect emissions
- A drive cycle may be required after repair
