P0010 Powertrain

P0010 — "A" Camshaft Position Actuator Circuit (Bank 1)

An electrical fault in the bank 1 intake camshaft position actuator solenoid (variable valve timing). The ECU monitors current and feedback on the oil control valve and sets this code when the circuit is open, shorted, or out of range.

General code reference. Confirm the definition and diagnostic procedure for your vehicle's year, model and engine. A stored code alone does not identify a failed part.

Affected components

  • Camshaft position actuator
  • Oil control valve
  • Actuator wiring
