C0710 — Steering Position Signal Malfunction

The chassis or stability control module has received an invalid or missing steering position signal — often via the communication bus from the steering control module. ESP, lane assist and electric power steering may be limited.

General code reference. Confirm the definition and diagnostic procedure for your vehicle's year, model and engine. A stored code alone does not identify a failed part.
